Wood, Boston, Mass." marked mvt, 52mm, 14K gold or better (tested) original American made HC with "T & S" marking for casemaker Thiery & Serex, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, KWKS, lever escapement, 16-17J, jeweled barrel arbor, diamond endstone, gilt mvt, s#16797 with matching serial number within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 76.9 dwt (119.7 g). An interesting movement believed to be of English origin but made to have a fairly similar appearance to a Waltham Model 1857. CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, slight cloudiness to plates, one short scratch next to fourth wheel jewel setting; dial has scattered light hls and hand rubbing marks in the seconds-register; fine hands have oxide, minute is slightly bent; case shows little wear, no dents or dings, excellent engine turning detail other then some mild uneven reduction at shoulders, rear hinge is missing an end cap; tight bow; good glass crystal.
